***Just as a side note this is not my tank!***
A buddy of mine set up a 120, and has two alligator gar and an Arowana with no substrate.
He uses well water and water condition and has been doing it this way with his other tanks for roughly three years with no issues.
Yesterday I was out and he asked me if I could pick up some feeders, I obliged, he did a water change that day, floated the feeders and put them in.
Today he finds what appear to be parasites on one of the gar, I think there were three all together, he removed the gar and was able to remove the parasites, the gar is eating and acting normal currently.
Any idea what they are, where they came from (have my own thoughts) and any other things to look out for or treat?
Pic of a live one reomved of the gar attatched.
