    Re: Ulcer on Oranda

The reading I have been able to find is worms causing these issues.
What you see when the fish seems to have acne is the egg pods laid by the worm.
You need to de-worm the fish.  That is what I have been able to find.

            Re: Ulcer on Oranda

I just had an outbreak in my daffodil tank of white bumps/ulcers.  I jumped right for the binox.  So far only one still has any issues... the others seem to be clearing up.  This is the first problem I have had in this tank and/or with these fish.  Could it be perhaps from the water because of recent weather?

I've tried FURAN-2 for 2 days and not much improvement.

I think I am going to go to BINOX next.

                What do you think?

binox rules.. after less than a week, only one of my fish has any remnants.... worked for me.  No *knocks on wood* losses.

I got some Binox from fshfrk this evening, and will begin treatment on the entire pond tomorrow. I'll keep you updated on any progress.

                          Re: Ulcer on Oranda

The binox seemed to be working... I noticed a marked improvement in most of the fish. Unfortunately the fish pictured at the beginning of the thread was one of two that died during Ike. I'm out of binox and the bumps seem to be coming back. I'm going to try a stronger treatment that I procured from fshfrk. I'm also looking to upgrade my filtration.
