i have those coralife digital thermometers on all my tanks. well yesterday during a water change i decided to calibrate one in a 30 gal. it was off by 5 degrees. the whole time, maybe the last year i thouhgt this tank was 80 degrees but it was really 85. i think i will be double checking these thermomters every couple months from now on.

my thermometers are all off... they lasted like a year..... :?5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp
20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey
75 fw - large Jack Dempseys / pictus cat/ yoyo loach/ Red gippicep/ 10+" oscar/ parrot -

Mine didn't even last a year. :( I ended up throwing them all away and getting a floating glass thermometer.A house without a puffer is not a Home.Comment

i,ve got 10 had some for years but the batteries do need to be replaced every year. i check the temp at every feeding. but will double check accuracy monthly from now on.200

Even some of those floating glass ones are off. I put 2 of them in one tank and there was a 3 or 4 degree difference between them.A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!Comment
