This is the 2nd tetra in this tank (55 at home) to get this.... fish still eating well and showing no other problems. Last one died in August as a science teacher I tried to disect the growth on the dead one and it just seemed to be black grainy material. I have 4 others, one of which is an offspring from my tank at school last spring. My husband took pictures with his phone but not sure how to attach
I must be doing something right at school... my 55 now has 4 cherry barb young born at the end of the summer and one albino cory baby that I just noticed a week or so ago. I have large gravel in that tank and think the eggs are surviving down in the rocks to hatch sucessfully.
