However, I would not use quick cure on scaleless fish and tetras.
I recently had good luck with Kordon's Ich Attack which I got at a previous HAS auction. Its an herbal based medication, safe for all fish. And it worked.

I used the Ich Attack... supposedly Organic but has mixed reviews. Also suppose to be reef safe which pretty much any med isn't or just doesn't work.

          Re: ICK= What Works

I have always had great luck with

          1. Salt
          2. Temp
          3.   I started using UV filters(some swear by them and some laugh)on all my tanks and have never had it since.  must mean they work or something
          4.  Have used quick cure also.  I also use this in a 5 gallon holding bucket for all my nets. This keeps anything from moving from tank to tank if there was an issue.
          5. +1 on what EK said about longer than 10 days. I have heard or read like 4 weeks or more. I have learned that once ick is present in a tank, you are better off dosing the whole tank due to the life cycle.

          6.  Buy fish from reliable source were you know the history of the fish or you know the manner in which they are kept. I have a rule about buying anything from a big box store is a NEVER.  Back in the day.......I had had more crappy, sick fish from petco and petsmart than you can imagine and stupid me being so impatient just took the chances. I finally learned after loosing so many fish and money.

these are just my experiences as they dont mean anything.
There is no "normal" life, it's just life so get on with it.
