As for making the mix i followed the instructions on the youtube video, i made mine with room temperature water and its working fine

I think it works lot better to cook the sugar water mix then let it cool off til its luke warm, that way u don't get sugar build up on the bottom and warm water active the yeast better then just tap

what i did was put the CO2 tubing into the filter intake and the impeller does the rest, its a preety good alternative except that it can make some filters noisy. ill try to post some pics of mine later

Every time I hook it up to a pump, the suction sucks the co2 and water out of the bottle. :(

you know what, i got some stuff i can give to you (a bottle or 2 of NOSS or NO FEAR would be nice tho) http://www.petguys.com/-015561176900.html i got that minus their mix (all it is yeast and you add sugar... cheaper to do it ur self) and the tubing, i threw that away long ago... the ladder works great in my 20, the bottle it came with was too small, so what i did was hook a bigger bottle of diy co2 to it... so let me know if you want it, just call me and same time tomorrow(sat) i can give it to you

Do you have a check valve i had a problem with back siphoning at first but after the CO2 starts flowing its all good

i got couple check valve you can have... i think i got them when one of the pet's mart was moving it was like 2 pack of 2s for 2 bucks or something... it was pretty cheap... i would go for brass for long term tho, mine are cheap-0-plastic

i think its good idea to have check valve for all airline before heading to the tank, incase of backup water in the airline...
