  • Aquarium Trim

I recently obtained a rather large aquarium... with one major problem: the trim on part of the bottom is missing. I'm not much of a DIYer, but am very willing to learn.

Should I try to find some trim to replace it? Should I just take it all off, and set the large aquarium ontop of a thin layer of styrofoam? I'd cover that up with trim) Should I do something completely different?Thoughts ?

Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

trim is only to hide the glue between the glass. So it's a half empty/ half full decision.

I agree...take off the old trim, use the styrofoam, and get some cool moulding or trim from Lowe's or Home Depot...what are ya gonna put in the tank?

Fiona is thinking ( I bet) she got the new house so its time to give in a bit on the fish tanks.
So Tim spent $300,000.00 to get a few more tanks. Well worth it.

Oh back to subject trim is like delock said only to hide the glue

Naah.. I have a feeling Tim will be cutting back on the number of tanks.. except each of his last "few" tanks will all be monster tanks :)

Same thing I am working on... Getting rid of the small stuff and get bigger longer tanks

I'm up to 6 now... but will have to go down to five once this tank gets set up. I don't want to do too many tanks on the upper levels of the house.

Kinda sad when a 42 gallon tanks counts as small stuff...
