    yah the pvc works well and can be super cheap... look on craigslist for deals and scrap... http://houston.craigslist.org/mat/1334787842.html

    the worst part of it is cutting it... go to a hardware store and get a ratcheting pvc cutter. its more like scissors for pvc then a saw. then just plop down in front of the tv and get cutting. you'll really build up your grip strength!

    Somefishguy is right about the tumbling... I used a 5 gallon bucket... put a few inches of pool filter sand and some 3-4in river rocks as well... then put 4 or 5 inches deep of cut pvc into it. put the lid on and roll around for 5-10 minutes. throwing some lava rocks in there too would probably be really good too.

      just FYI... the tumbling I did didnt really make them seem rough... just kinda took the shine off... better then nothing tho....

              Lava rocks are good some float and some sink. So it works really good I use it for my pond
