    Going to try and not put a HOB or cannister filter on this tank. Just w/c's and micron socks. We will see?

      dang john, my apartment doesn't even have that much plumbing running through it. having any problem with splashing from the filter socks? now for the scape.

        No splash with the shorter socks.The old longer socks did not work as good. I am thinking out in my mind how to condense the manifold. Also add a 5th sock in the middle.

            canisters suck compared to wet drys . does this put you over 1000g now john?

              $300.00 and cleaning them. But mainley to prove you do not need them.

                John doesn't like to do anything the easy way lol... gotta love that about him. Be interesting to see how this goes... I'm impressed though... when he does something... he does it big.
                5.5 fw fluval chi - class N top bar snake chested endlers/ red marble bn/ 4 stripe RCS/ pumpkin shrimp
                20 sw cube - a few damsels and a colony of bristleworms
                29 fw - self cloning crayfish..which can't seem to clone haha
                29 fw - mollies / albino bristlenose / ghost shrimp and snowball shrimp/ glo danios
                29 fw - crs/ amano/tiger shrimp /assassins/ whiptails/ plants/ 3 emerald cories
                55 fw - steatocranus casaurius (20ish)/ tetras/ rainbows/large Jack Dempsey
                75 fw - large Jack Dempseys / pictus cat/ yoyo loach/ Red gippicep
                / 10+" oscar/ parrot
