Lighting fixture question

I just got a shoplight to put on my 55 and i am having trouble with it. for some reason it will not stay on. it has brand new bulbs the light itself is brand new but it will just turn off after less then an hour being on. im probably just going to return it and try another, but i was wondering if anyone knew why it might be doing this. Oh i have tried a couple of thigs already like plugged it in itsw own socket so it wasnt on the smae strip as everything else. but it still turns off.

probably a faulty ballast, overheating it sounds like

Walmart has some lightstrips for like $10.
Homedepot has some nice ones for $22. It looks a lot better than the Walmart type and comes with a pull cord.
