Running it through the carbon filter so it wont matter also water temp wont be the same I keep the temp in the tank around 82

The circled part is the part that keeps breaking. I do not use this brand currently but its the same part

Brian, Python is aware that there is a problem with the manufacture or materials that make up that fitting. About six months or so ago I called Python Products and the woman told me to send in the broken one and they'll replace it free. I bought the brass faucet adapter and a spare fill valve so that I always have a new one handy when the old one breaks. I send the broken one in and in two weeks the replacement arrives. A PITA but for me it's a viable option.

dude, quit spending money on expensive Pythons and buy a freakin garden hose. I have been doing 50% water changes for over a year now with the same garden hose i bought at Lowe's for $8. I bought a connector piece so i can hook it up to the sink for like $5 and i've never had to replace anything. Works like a charm.
