      lol, no really. I use a bowl and fork to strip the females. Over time I find it's the fastest and easiest way for me.

      Just a bowl of tank water. Hold the fish gently and use the fork to pry her mouth open. Slowly move her back and forth and the eggs/fry will just come out.

      Hard part is catchin her.
      I ate my fish that died.

        just caught one that was holding to try it out. she was holding 9 fully developed fry! so into the fry tank they went.i'll have to try and catch one holding eggs next time around.

            ok finally, after stripping 6 more mature fry, i found a female with 7 wigglers and an unfertilized egg in her gullet.



            If my count is right im up to 24 in the fry tank!!

                when should i start feeding these guys in the egg tumbler? ground up nls/dainichi should work right?

                  They don't need to be feed until their eggyolk sacs are completely absorbed. It will sustain them until then.

                        The cylinder has a 4" diameter. I need alot of power to get the water flowing. Maxi Jet 400's coming in soon. I think 108gph should do it. hahaha
