John the 5000K seems the best option. Have you find out their price yet?

it mentions that the energy used is less then 19W.... most normal LEDs put out significantly less then 1W....

these probably wouldnt put out enough light for planted tanks... might be ok for a non planted or very low light plants.

I looked at the wiring diagram, John. It looks simple...will take just a few minutes to change over.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.

If we can get a few minds and skills together DIYers on HFB can do or make anything. I'm all in if you need a panel for the LED lights. Wiring, that's all you guys.

They won't tickle your pollup's or frig your frag but they should light up a freshwater tank just fine.

I wonder if this would give a MH effect?

hmmmmm, it doesn't say anything about lumen output but I would think that a 40W LED would put off some bright light.

how about this one, comparable to a 100-150w high pressure sodium bulb for 32W. 2 or 3 on a six footer
