The People who make the tanks. You guys have my highest respect. It is a skill and a art to be able to build a fish tank. Seems simple enough, but I can tell you from experience that it take patients, and skill.
A thought for all those looking for a tank for next to nothing.. I purchased a 4x8 sheet of Cast Acrylic..Cost 140.00 then you have to cut it to size, then smooth the saw cuts with a router being very careful not to cut too much or gouge it. It has to be perfectly straight. Next you need like 10 or more clamps. Next make the two pieces perfectly square and hold it in place while you Solvent weld the joints..(solvent welding is not easy).. Clamp... wait overnight...then do the next panel... and repeat.... once you have it all together after 4-5 days of clamping.. you now cross your fingers for the water test and hope for no leaks... if leaks.. then you have to figure out how to fix or scrap the whole thing... SO NO MISTAKES... that takes skill. So those professionals and non-professionals who are doing this.... I applaude you.........I have had a long week.. and I have a tiny leak.... I think I have it fix with weld-on 16....
