  • Reparing a Cansiter Filter

    Hello

I have a Odyssea CFS4 Canister Filter that was knocked over and the canister cracked around the middle portion. Anyone know of a way to repair it? Would I be able to just put silicone on the inside and outside of the crack, or is the pressure to high for that to work? Or by any chance does anyone have a replacement canister they would like to sale to me?

Thanks and let me know if you have any ideas.

Depends on what type of plastic it is..... check the triangle on the bottom

could be the same stuff that model airplanes use and the glue is available at most hobby stores

    or could be plexiglass
    for plexiglass use

'Dear Lord,' the minister began, with arms extended toward heaven and a rapturous look on his upturned face. 'Without you, we are but dust ...'
He would have continued but at that moment my very obedient daughter who was listening leaned over to me and asked quite audibly in her shrill little four-year old girl voice, 'Mom, what is butt dust?'

Maybe silicone it. But you might just have to buy a new housing for it.
