  • texas holey rock near austin?

wasn't sure exactly where to post this, this seemed to be the best way to go. Just wondering if anyone has any heads up on where to look for some holey rock in the austin area. I am heading out that way to visit family this weekend and I would like to pick some up while I am there. Anyone have any tips on where to start? I've never been out that way before so any little advice would help. I know this has been posted before but no one ever really answered. Thanks in advance

Look for new subdivisions going in. Usually they rocks will be laying on top of the ground, or in piles of dirt where you can just pick them up.
Fish are people too, they just have gills.

I use to live in austin, holey rock can be found at just about every state park. not sure about the law on that, but seriously doubt you'll get arrested unless your out there with a pick axe and a truck. go to lake travis, there use to be some about everywhere there. honestly it's everywhere there, if you have the opportunity, drive around to some not as populated area or side of any given hill and you'll find some.
