Removing Scracthes From Acrylic

Hey guys, I'm looking for some advice and input on how to repair acrylic scratches.

Here is want to know so far:

The type of remover you will want to use depends on whether the scratch is on the outside or the inside of the tank. There are some scratch kits available, like:

This produce is design to remove scratches inside the tank and while fish and water are in it also!

This is to remove inside tank scratches without fish and water.

There are products that are design just to protect the outside of the tank, while giving it a nice clean shine.

Has anyone use these produces?

Do I need a buffer to get some of the deep scratches out?

I know John (FF) is working on something like this soon. So hopefully he can provide some insight.

Try this this has gotten good reviews I am thinking about ordering one for my tank. People have said that you can do this dry or wet application.

What are we going to do about the inside of the tank?

Most of my scratches are on the inside. The 340 used to be a coral frag tank and is scrathed inside bad. I am going to buff out the inside mostly and a little on the outside. You can buy a car buffer for $35.00. you will want to use new buffing pads so they are not contaminated with car polish. I've got some old acrylic the geeks gave me so we can practice on this first.

You can use novus on the inside too. Gave it a quick rinse and its good to go

Much higher RPM's for a faster better job. Smaller than the car buffer so we can get the inside of the tank better.
