How big is that drain hole, 1.5''?

For what I read, even with the durso pipes if you want it to be silent then you can't over do the flow ratings on the pipes.

I have two RR with 1.5'' inputs. I'm run two 1k GPH pump on them. Hope that's not too much.

What return pump are you using on that monster?

Dude its a discus tank I dont need retarded flow like your trophs want. Is this the pipe below the tank going into the sump? I think I need more Bio-bale in the overflow that is loud.

Did you ever have problems with noise from the piping work under your tank?

I used the nylon reinforced hose to the sump, but I do hear a little water noise at the sump. It's only a slight trickle.

Same. It came with them so the top is just one piece that can move up an down as needed. Mine is silent on the durso but not from the tube that releases the water into the sump
