I recently was given a 75 oceanic tank that had been sitting dry for a few years. It was stored inside but I think it may have been three years since it last saw water. I haven't filled it with water yet but out of curiosity, do you reseal every used tank you get if you know its been sitting dry? Or do you water test it and use as is if it holds water?

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

Filled it with water... and then some. Wasn't paying attention and overflowed it a bit. I cleaned it up with a towel and I'll let it sit for a few days to see. I also overflowed my water conditioning tank. Not my best night...135 gal Fahaka Puffer
