  • DIY Spray Bar

I know this should be easy, but want to make sure I am not missing anything. I have a 2217 I am setting up in a tank and want to use a spray bar for the return. Is there anything I need to know about hole spacing or size? Just plan to use pvc and drill press to make holes. Any thoughts would be good. Tank is 30 high and would like to cover as much of the water column as possible, but not too strong a flow.
    Thanks

Simple as drilling the holes brother. I like 1/4". space the holes out to fit the tank. I do not glue the spray bars so I can adjust them up or down. Experiment with it. Good luck.

John, one day I am going to make it to your part of town and visit ya. I will bring a case of beer and some tools and we can build something for your tanks for once. Thanks brother.

Oh, if you've never been to John's, you're missing out on a DIYers heaven.

I've drilled extra holes in a spray bar before to make the flow less strong. My advice would be the same as John's, for what it's worth. You can always drill more holes.
