  • Acrylic aquarium build (pics!!)

Well guys I just got done with my first acrylic aquarium build. It was alot of fun and all in all I am vary happy with the outcome even though on my next build there are a few things I would do different.

My plans for this build was to build a 29/16/24 tank which is right at 49g. I also planned on incorporating an internal sump as well in order for it to support salt water life, so basicly my virsion of the Bio Cube. Here are some pics of the build in progress and also some pics of brand new saltwater and live sand so the water is not too pretty.

Thanks guys, I can't wait to get some fish and rock in it. I have to take it easy though for about a week to let my bank account settle down.

Can we get an update on this? The tank came out great. I really like how you incorporated the overflow into the aquarium!

Im getting prices together for my next aquarium build. Im looking into a 118x30x30 inch aquarium. Acrylic can be ordered by the sheet for example 1inch thick 60x118inches =$$$1225.55 per sheet and the cutting is 50 bucks. I reckon, just pay by the sheet. And this price was through A&C Plasctics. Maybe we can get a group buy or something going??? Im not quiet ready to do this but Im eventually going to as per my expensive hobby calls.
