What do yall think- Sump

So I wanted to get some opinions as to how I built my sump. I know its not the best but I wanna see where I can improve it. Here are the pics. I have some sponges at the top input to reduce the noise, some filter floss, and filter padding. Below that is about 90 pot scrubbers for the benificial bacteria and going into the return chamber I have first filter floss then at the top I have to sponges, then I have slate for more benificial bacteria and also a little filter rated for 150 gph. Tomorrow I'm adding a hot magnum 250 for water polishing and added filter media for benificial bacteria. I have the little breeder net in there as well along with my heater and an airstone. The pump I have in there now is giving my whole tank 1000gph, so all in all I'm gonna have about 1400 gph of filtration, so what do yall think???

Looks very interesting. My main question is have you tested it on a power outage? if it is that full when it's running, I would be concerned about it overflowing when the power goes out. Just a thought, keep up the good work.

Thats a whole lot of water in there and kinda scares me. Same question as above? Good jobe noneless and not much money spent. Just makes sure no water will end up on the floor. Just about finished mine, few more tweeks and i'll be done and never have to work on my sump again.

Yes it will over flow but I have a ball valve on the water coming out the tank so I can have it shut off. Everyone here knows to turn it if the power ever goes out

Yes but what will you do if your not home and the power goes out?

@ jwh0818 I have a solution I have two wet dry and I have it hook up to a battery back up the ones they use for computers.power when out last summer battery kick In power my wet dry for 6 hrs

Looks like you should be able to take out most of the water in the sump tank out. Keeping the water level a few inches above the filter should do the trick.

Also drill a small whole in your output right below the water line in your main tank. This way when the power goes out, the water level will only drop to that hole.
