  • removing painted background

i am trying to remove one of the tank's painted background...
bought the tank with the painted background, not sure what kind of paint it was, but it is giving me a hard time to scratching it off with the razor blade.
I have removed a few painted background with razor blade before, and it was very easy. not sure what's wrong with this one...
the coating looks kinda thick, and it just can't get off with just the razor blade.
tried it with some alcohol, no help...and tried with some thinner, a little better but still very hard to get it off with the razor blade.
Anyone has any experience something like this?? any chemical or some kind of remover might work better?
    thanks.

Razor blade will provide best results. To much thinner(depending on type) can eat trim and seals if allowed to get to them. Probably wasn't a paint meant or a thin coat. Just my $0.02

Razor blade. It does work. Use a little elbow grease

well it does work with razor and some water...but what i mean is that its totally different from other painted background i have removed before.
with only razor and some water/windex...i assume it would take me a few days to take them all off...
so i figure it might be some kind of special paint or something?

It may be or it may have just bonded really well. Razor+force= results. Just time consuming but it will be worth it in the end.
