wasn't too hard, just had to find the different polarities since there is a three position switch on the light and run it off the correct ones on the circuit board.

From there I just ran an extra length of wire to the opposite side of the fixture and trimmed down some of the metal spacer so I could mount the LED against the light since the thickness of the LED fits the housing perfectly but only if the board and reflector/spacer is pushed to one side.

          I don't like wires.

Finally got a minute's break at work to take a look at that. That's just 1 LED?? Dang. Think the spectrum and intensity through 30" of water will work for vals/swords?

I think with enough of them it should grow low light plants great. But I will have a better idea once I put it all together. So far it grows algae like a BEAST

Nice. I want. What's the length of your tank? I have 4 feet to cover but since I haven't seen these, I'm not really clear (despite your descriptions above) how to hook 'em up.

My first post shows two as they come... imagine 50 of them like so... all pre-wired.

Only thing for these is to find a suitable board or plank to stick them to and lay over your tank and get a power source or dc convertor to power them.

Ok. I'm gonna wait to see how yours turns out. Can I come by and see once you've got it set up? I'll make do with the T5's til then.

                                Fa sho

I will probably place the order tomorrow night when the others get back with me on how many they want. I honestly feel that 50 will light my tank to my liking (which I was really set on 3x250MH+4x96wPC) but seeing how bright these are I think I can manage at a tenth of the cost. I might just spring for 100 to act up and light the whole room with these.
