    Chance to build custom tank

    I'm really looking for some honest opinions here.  I have the chance with a close family member who cuts glass and wants to try his hand at building a custom tank.  This individual does custom glass cutting for things like churches and business that require specialty cuts (should be talented).  I guess my question is what size and type of design would you guys really think was neat.  I keep thinking of ideas but then scratch them because of maintenance issues.  I've looked on the web but an arch through my walkway would pose a serious cleaning problem.  Other designs on the web seem pretty lame.  Wife doesn't like the furniture idea so I am kind of curious if you guys could build something (in a normal home environment) what you guys would do?

    1. big tank wide and long
    2.  something really obscure ( lighting problem)
    3.  completely custom like no other (ideas) (lighting problem)

    As an FYI I currently have (2) 55g, 75g, 10g, and 30g t.  So as you can see my biggest is the 75.  I have a couple extra filters so I'm not so concerned about size as I am about stand(if needed) and lighting.

    A friend of mine made a tank in a "L" shape that when behind the two parts of his sectional couch that I thought was really awesome to look at.

      A betta tank
      4 ft long with a bunch of compartments with a flow thru filter system.

        I dont have the program to draw it.
        This what I am thinking. Its a horse shoe shape. On both sides have them 36" deep X 48" long X 24" wide. Now connect them in the 36"side of each tank. So that would make the back sides 24" deep with a spane in between the  2 tanks.
        The filtration would have to be a close loop system. With a wet\dry in the middle under the center. But it would have to be a custom cabinet.
        Lighting would have to be 2 48" PC.

        Or you could have 3 different cubes with each cube 1.5" shorter then the one before. All 3 of them would be connected to the one next to it with a lip on the 1st two to allow water to flow down to the last one.
        With this style you can keep 3 different types of fish while using just one filter.
        Lights would depend on how long the 3 cubes are.

                    The first Friday in September is September 7th.  The last day in August is Friday August 31th.  The meeting is 2 weeks away from today.
