yes a 2213 will do , I had the whole 500ml in the 2211 but one thing I was aware was that it was not very fluid and most of it was getting stuck on the top, which it is still good since the flow goes that way but I took half off and that made the trick, not sure if a whole liter in the 2213 will do the same but maybe not.

Why not use a media reactor it's cheaper and you can use the a canister or wet/dry pump to power it.

I'd love to have something like this on my tanks, but I'd have to figure out a way to put it inline with one of my canisters which already has stuff inline (either a uv sterilizer or a CO2 reactor). If anyone makes one that works with a canister filter, please post instructions and pics on how you did it.Vicki

since media reactors can be picky about optimum flow, the best way might be to have a separate bypass leg after the canister but parrallel to the CO2 reactor. with a ball valve upstream of both reactors you can adjust the flow so that there is enough flow to agitate the media around but not too much so that you can maximize contact time as EK suggests. too much flow may also be a reason why some people have a problem with blowing the beans through the filter and into their tank. i was playing around with a sketch last night that would bring both outputs of my canisters into a common header which will have bypass valves for the co2 reactor, purigen reactor, inline heater, and maintenance drain. i am going to try a magnum 350 with a mesh wrapped micron filter as a reactor if my old one works with the new impellor that i have coming. those things are pretty turbulent inside and the motor will give me greater flexibility with flow balancing. i might also consider putting it after the co2 reactor since that would be awesome in its ability to ensure complete co2 absorbsion. now i need coffee so i stop rambling.75G Standard - High Light Planted Community Fish
