Those that have done it before said it would take about an hour or so.
Well, I decided an hour was too long, so I resorted to my own methods.
Basically, the old frame will be thrown away so I could care less what happens to it.
What I did was took a pipe wrench and from the top of the frame pried it out so that it would break in small pieces.
After the top pieces broke off, I just pulled the frame apart fron the tank.
The whole process took me less than 10 minutes.
Step 1 - Done. Now to clean off the old silicone and silicone in the new frame.
I ate my fish that died.

Okay, its been awhile since I got a chance to update. Been too busy traveling, but now I'm back and so its time to start work on this tank.
So to pick up where I left off, I got the 125 tank and fixed it up all good but needed a stand.
Well, I got a stand and canopy. The bad news is that it came with a tank as well, so now I have a spare 125. Oh well.
Back to the stand. My wife is very picky and said whatever I do it has to look nice and in order for it to look nice it has to be a dark or red color wood. So I went and looked at new cherry/mohogony stands and they were expensive.
So I went and bought a used stand, a used oak color stand. So the project now is to convert the oak color stand into a red color wood stand.
So here are the pics so far. I have tested restaining on the inside of one of the doors to see how it turns out. So far so good. Once I give it a few more coats and polished up, hopefully it will look good enough to be used..
I'll update with pics as I progress..
