Thanks guys. Now I just need to let it air out in the garage and for the varnish smell to go away before I bring it inside, which gives me time to go and work on the plumbing of the tank.
Here's what it currentl looks like in the garage..
Scarecrow : I haven't got a brain... only straw.
Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.
If you had windows to your garage, make sure they are wired to the house alarm. Its pretty easy for people ot get into the garage through a window if its not wired to the house alarm you would never know.

The 90 is an old Oceanic, the 125 is an Aqueon. I have the old Oceanic 125 that came with the stand and canopy, but the Aqueon is newer so I will be using that.Aqueon
Thanks. I did not strip it down. If you are going darker, Minwax makes a product called Polyshade. Its a tinted Polyurethan, that you can apply over existing stains. Just requires a light sanding with 220 sand paper so that it can have a good adhesion to the wood.
Well, the 125 refinish came out really nice, so I decided to refinish my 90 gallon as well. While I was at it, I decided to build myself a canopy too. Here's the results..
