DIY Gravel Vac?

I am wanting to build a gravel vacuum. I have one but it is in storage and I won't be able to access it for another 3 months or so. I am not wanting to dump $30 on a new large gravel vacuum. Where can I get some clear pvc or simple a clear tube that I can hook up to a hose and make my own?

If someone could lend me one, I would also appreciate it. Trade some yellow shrimp or some sort of exchange.

Transparent PVC can get expensive depending on diameter

+1 to clear pvc getting pricey. you might be able to fashion one from a 24oz plastic coke bottle as the vacuum and just silicon it to some filter hose. i just use the hose by itself these days but then my tanks are planted so i just use that to siphon off debris and not to actually vacuum the gravel.

I have a gravel vac you can have just no tube for it tho

the tank access is pretty high about eyelevel so i do need a long pipe like from the "large" size vac. about 2 foot so i can reach the bottom of the tank. it is planted so i just need to get the detritus as well. thank you for the offer johnnymisty, i will pm you.

i was thinking if i spent money on the clear pvc i could rebuild my carbon diffuser afterward, which works fine. that would at least be more useful than 2 vacs and hopefully cheaper than $30.
