Hello guys...
I know you guys are thinking there is no way of making a overflow box completely quiet.. well i will show yall how simple this fix is..after so many weeks of hearing the dam thing i just got tired of it.. so i did a massive research today(not...lol) on "how to quiet overflow box", but all the process of how to fix it was quite ridiculous like the stockman pipe and dorso pipe... and i sat there and watched a overflow box video over and over.. until i find the fix and boy was it simple..there are 2 points on the overflow that need to be a certain way in order for it to be quiet.. first the water flowing down the box (the waterfall noise) and second the water going through the pipe to the wet/dry (the slurping noise).. with that point said i found a fix... with this fix there is no need for a dorso stand pipe or stockman..this fix is virtually noiseless and i have a vid to prove it.. here it is

Tools:
- PVC cutter
- Tape measure(not necessary but its good to have)
Materials:
- A section of PVC that fits the the bulkhead in your overflow box (about 1') (it will be cut down)
- Airline hosing
- Airline valve
- sheet of styrofoam
Steps:
- TURN OFF your pump so that the overflow can drain completely
- take the old pvc tube that is in the overflow box out
- put the new section of pvc tube in the overflow box
- measure to where the overflow portion is at and add approx 1cm (no more then 1 inch)
- remove the pvc and cut it
- place it back in the overflow box
- cut a section of airline hosing (eshopp method of reducing noise)(about 2') put the valve onto the airline hosing
- TURN ON so the overflow can start running again
- place the airline hosing into the pvc pipe
- adjust the valve accordingly until you see no siphoning (should be completely silence by now)
- cut the piece of stryofoam to fit the overflow box and airline hosing... put it in and your DONE!!!
