Its a combination of the air trapped at the top and the water level in the tank. To keep it pressed against the top of the tank!

Ill find out, threw in two baby Hecqui to test. Will definitely be making more , let me know if u guys want one. Ill sell them for 5.00 not sure i can promise the same plants. But its nicer then the lil net things

I drilled the holes, but i allready like it a lot better then those net things

I would drill allot more holes . Just don't drill any at the bottom , so it will still hold water when you pull it out . I made one a while back , it works great .

Agree, drill a ton of tiny holes to better circulate the water in there but make sure you use some tiny drill bits cause most egglayer fry are tiny.

I have used fishing floats and just plain styrofoam squares attached with hot glue gun and both work great.

Its working pretty good so far. Yea ill probably drill a few more holes. But for now this is working ok

Lol....i knoe. One of them does need more tho......my drill died last night and i got tired. So i just tossed fry in to separate them. But their all live n well this morning
