Spray Paint Safe?

Hey, I need to paint my DIY overflow for my 55g salt black somehow. Some people said Krylon Fusion Spray Paint was Ok. I cant find any of that here and was wondering if this would be good to use in the tank?

i just bought some krylon fusion flat black at home depot...the sales person siad that there was supposed to be an upgraded type coming out soon but i didnt catch the name

I just went to Home Depot and did not find any krylon. I will try ace next.

Krylon fusion works better on plastics since it bonds to it. You could use any Krylon paint though. Make sure you allow whatever you're painting to cure before putting it in your tank

Wats wrong with using a small roller and and a brush. No mist every where more color options and better coverage too.

the kind of paint you would roll on can flake back off again. krylon fusion chemically bonds with the plastic. i wouldnt use anything that doesnt do that.

It doesn't quite have to be the fusion one. It's just the fusion one is the most optimal. As totenkampf said, it chemically bonds with plastic. It says it on the can as well, and personally, I wouldn't use anything else unless it does the same.
