So, it's been a while since I've repaired an aquarium. Just so I don't screw everything up I need to confirm that I can use the GE #1 silicone to do the resealing.
A mouth will say anything....:ym_chatterbox:....Take a picture!!!!
I've always preferred dow corning 100% silicone. It's sold in the DAP brand at Lowes and HD.

What are the facts? Again and again and again--what are the facts? Shun wishful thinking, ignore devine revelation, forget what "the stars foretell", avoid opinion, care not what the neighbors think, never mind the unguessable "verdict of history"--what are the facts, and to how many decimal places? You pilot always into an unknown future; facts are your only clue.
I thought Grainger was for licensed contractors only? Can anyone shop there?
Anyone can shop there. Lost of guys on MARSH buy their RTV silicone from them. They have the clear and black. Just make sure you get fresh tubes. The shelf life is about a year on it and older tubes increase the possibility of it not adhering properly. There is some info on the date codes on one of the aquarium websites, I don't recall exactly where.
I picked up some GE 1 window and door silicone tonight. I already started using it and noticed that it says "not for use in aquarium or below water line". Maybe I grabbed the wrong one?
