Drilling A 125G Aqueon?

Hi

I have a 125G Made by Aqueon, the sticker says
"Warning Don't Drill Glass Enclosure" so to me that
means whole tank?
Or, is it don't drill bottom but sides are OK?

Anyone drilled a 125G?

Usually when they say that, it's just the bottom glass is tempered. I wouldn't know for sure if it is or not. You'd have to ask someone who has one and tried or call and ask Aqueon.

Thought maybe someone here drilled a 125G and
came out smiling...

there is a way to tell by looking at the glass through polarized sunglasses or a computer monitor privacy screen. if its tempered then you will see black lines in the glass. since you know the bottom is tempered at least, try it out and see if you see the lines in the bottom and not the sides. i havent done this myself but i read about it the other day when i was wondering the same thing about a 90 gallon i was going to buy. it sold so i never got the chance to try the method out.

i would think its the whole tank you should give a call to fish stores or a retailer of aqueon to make sure

LOL, i read that also, i went and purchased a pair of polarized sun glasses this morning and i tried looking at my car window my 55g, my patio sliding door and the 125G and to be honest i couldn't see jack...

I saw that earlier, the only thing that confuses me is that they say "container" and not "bottom"?
I have now tried looking at the glass through polarized glasses from every angle known to man and
still see nothing...

Tell me about it, i wasted $30 on sunglasses i will probably never use again.
Whoever said it works must have a secret technique, i will try and get hold of Aqueon again
tomorrow...

I had a friend who drilled the side. He says the bottom is tempered. But I can verify this.

*UPDATE*

OK, spoke to Tech support at Aqueon and they told me
only the bottom is tempered glass...
So, i'm doing it, wish me luck
