Where could I get some large square shaped black sponges for cheap? I'm talking under $5. I checked the walmart near me and they don't carry even the rounded peanut-shaped sponges you use for cars, just the sponges for washing dishes. I know Lowe's carries a yellow sponge, but I'd like to get a black one.

You have to put the dye powder into some water and bring it to a simmer and then let the item being dyed sit in it for about 10 - 15 minutes then take it out and rinse the excess off with cold water.
