Is the canopy sitting on top of the trim or below it?

The molding is going to hang lower so it will cover the trim

Well for the most part I have everything planned in my head build as I go usually leave hardware store with different plans as for the trimming on the tank its going to be cover by the molding all around

Imo that's not very stable if just sitting on a trim that's less than an inch thick. What happens if u lean against it? It's just gonna fall right, I am wondering why u didn't go outside the trim and mount a piece of wood to hold each side like they usually do.
