trying to build over flow and sump ideas??

Cool im gonna make a sump as well was thinking a 30l for a 125 but if 29 works good i may go with that

For a Do it your self Overflow and sump. Ask? What if?
If your power goes out will the siphon stop befor the sump fills and over flows? It should. Most the time it the pump side that over flows your sump. If you drill a small hole at the water line. It will stop the siphon.
The overflow should stop and start with the water leval. The sump should hold enough water for the pump to work with out sucking air. If something stops up the overflow will the pump over flow my tank? The sump should never have more water then what it take to over flow the tank and the tanks water leval should take a few gal. if that happens.
I have DYI overflow and spray bar. It took some time to get it right but now that it is. I don't worry about it.
