DIY 210g or 315g Home build Aquarium.

I have been watching Youtube videos on Home made aquariums. So now I want to do a DIY. Aquarium. 210g or 315g. I got a 210 with a broken bottom. I am going to take it apart for the glass. I have all the trim off and part of the center brase. It going to be tuff to get it all the way apart with a razerblade.
Any one ever take a tank apart befor?

There is a tool that takes off silicone really easy its I used it in my reseal project.

Hi Troy
I've done it with smaller tanks, it's quite a job taking them apart without chipping/cracking the glass,
it's amazing how strong the bond actually is.

Remove all the silicone
Get the thinnest blade you can find, slip it between joints and starting from top
go all way to bottom.
Once the sides are off you can do the end pieces.
Not as easy as it sounds.

Forgot to mention, you may want to try a product that dissolves silicone.

PS. Be careful with the trim, i have yet to find 6' Trim for sale anywhere.

Isopropyl Alcohol will help soften the silicone. Let it sit for a bit and then go after it.
