  • DIY algee wafers ? Anyone tried

    Hey guys ,
    Ive been searching and cannot find anyone who has attempted a diy algee wafer
    If anyone could maybe direct me into trying this il be more then happy to.
    I was thinking of pees,cubumber and pretty much any green and vitamins necessary mixed up and dried/heated together and cut in cubes ?

    What do you guys think ?

    Wouldn't that be a vegetable wafer then? lol. If I were to attempt this, I'd use peas, cucumbers, kael, and carrots. Blend it up good and put it on a tray. Then dehydrate and break into chunks. I prefer a jello kind of mix or a frozen mix when it comes to making your own stuff. It's easier IMO. Just add some plain jello mix and you got yourself some rapashy type stuff or freeze the mix as is without the jello.

        Ok thanks guys for the fast reply and sorry lol i thought they were all veg wafers, il be aiming at doing a veg wafer then lol

        what do you guys think of vitaimins added and crushed to this ?

        vitamin e ? fish oil ? krill oil ? garlic ? vitamin a?folic acid? etc

        but im unsure of how much to put in i guess thats where its difficult

                IMO I wouldn't add extra vitamins unless they're sickly and need the help. Garlic would be good to add with the spirulina powder.

                      thanks guy il give this a try
                      i recently just made a pee , vitamin e , krill oil mix
                      let it freeze and put a tiny bit in the tank because it melts into 1million particles lol
                      fish loved it

                      il be trying my dried out set next

                        Some people don't like their food breaking into a million particles. Easy fix by adding plain flavor jello.

                          I used to make algea food from the scrappings off the algea scrubber. I also mixed it in the scrimp mix.
