I changed the design after breaking several sheets of plexiglass trying to cut them.
Home depot sells a circular saw blade for cutting plexiglass/acrylic. Standard 7.25" blade which should fit most handheld saws.
I've also successfully cut thin sheets with the tool designed for cutting it, and thicker pieces using a dremel tool with a cutting disc. Best is to run a thin sheet of water over it while cutting to reduce melting. Or make a sloppy cut and sand or use a router to smooth it down to a nice edge.

Spot and Chris... a table saw is the way to go on cutting plexiglass.. nice even cuts... can run long distances on it.. and very little problems with splitting. I have not tried the water thing.. but I will have to remember this next time I do this.

Hrm... I wonder if a tile saw would do a nice job (for small pieces since their capacity isn't as flexible as a table saw) - automatic water cooling... :) ...
I'm hoping to build some tanks soon, so precision will be a little more important than for something like a drip tray. I still haven't found a local source for weld-on #40 which is what I intend to use for any larger tanks (>20 gallon).
