How do you control flow? Does the media get exposed to air at all?

I use Mag 7 so the flow is not strong and also I have a valve at return pump. I want slow flow on this sump because I want maximum contact to Lava rock and media so the water go middle stage is good for fry ( that why I design this sump in slow flow) As you see the pictures and small video the water clear so I don't think media exposed in the air.

Mogan, This is my first time strip the fish and it work but I am wait for almost 2 week before strip her so you think that to long??

Two weeks is OK if you don't mind a small sac. By that time they are free swimmers. One thing I don't do is feed them with egg sac. It slows down the development. Some people wait three weeks. I only wait 3 days lol. But that's me. Some people are against stripping. I'm done trying to sell fry so I will pack my tanks with a lot of rock and let them spit. Only downside is the condition of the females and lower fry numbers. Some fish in the wild have held fry up to almost two months. And some have died afterwards because they care so well for the fry. So it's a personal preference. I have a red rainbow that's going on three weeks and I haven't stripped. Not concerned with selling them.
