  • Reseal In and Out 175 Bow tank

After a week process to reseal in and outside 175 Gal Bow tank ( I got it from Chirshem , Very nice tank and love it ) Here are my work to the tank:

Pic 1 & 2 : Before seal inside the tank look.

Pic 2 & 3 : Seal inside with black aquarium silicone ( Do not take old silicone out, clean 2 to 3 times with alcohol Apply new silicone on top old one because I want keep the old silicone between the glass and also so I do the out side corner guard )

Pic 5 : Corner Guard from Hone depot for outside four corner ( paint black to math with the black silicone .)

    Pic 6 & 7 : Before real 4 corner outside

    Pic 8 & 9 : After glue outside

Pic 10 &11 : The inside look after 2days reseal
    12 &13

Pic 14 : Remove black old paint and apply deep blue paint ( 3 coat blue and 1 black coat outer)

Pic 15 &16 : Outside look After 3 days. I love it hold water and four corner outside turn out look great.

    Total cost : Electric tape : $2.00
    1 tube black aquarium silicone : $8.00
    1 tube glue outside : $7.00
    1 corner guard 8 feet :$8.00
    Some razor blade & alcohol
So it less than $30.00 to reseal tank .
    Option Paint cost : $ 14.00 for 3 can.

Next week will do another project seal and buff the 175 gal acrylic.

What did you use for corned guards? Is it plastic or metal? Very nice job.

Looks like the plastic corner guard for walls!!!

Thank you, This is my second tank I sell with all corner guards and it turn out very good. This week I seal 200 gal acrylic tank, it is new to me how to seal acrylic. I try to use Weld On 4 apply on four corner and bottom and than apply one coat Weld On 16 for the inside tank . Outside tank I will use corner plastic for four corner and around bottom tank. this is the one I did last night.
