  • DIY Biopellet reactor

I made myself a little biopellet reactor this morning (will post picts tonight when I get home). I made it from a few pieces of PVC i had laying around, a "smartwater" bottle, and a MJ600.

      Ok...here you go.

I chose the smartwater bottle because of the conical shape of the bottom. Tubing from the Mj to the control valve into an elbow, straight, elbow, straight (into the bottle), and then a street elbow and straight piece for the exit (i put a screen in between the elbow and straight). This is 1/2" PVC, which fit perfectly in the top of the bottle. I might have to change the pump when I go at the full level of pellets (runing 1/2 currently)

looks very cool thanks. I don't have a lot of space in my sump so i might have to make adjustments. how wide and how tall is it?

the bottle is only 700ml, about 3" across and 10-12"tall. my sump is a 10g. That's a Tunze 9002 beside it.

The whole thing minus the pump was probably around $5

Well i guess i know what I'm doing this weekend haha. I'll let you know how it goes, thanks for the help. Did you have to make any cuts to the pvc? I'm probably gonna have to buy a powerhead.

Just had to cut the PVC for the lengths I wanted.
