I don't use tops lol. But when I do I use egg crate light diffusers. No hassle.

Simple enough. The only reason I do is because my trophs like to splash water all over my stand

I've never had any luck with acrylic for tops. This is much tougher material, used in aircraft and the space industry

Hot debate on this space age material. It'd be awesome to see a side by side photo review of the materials being discussed.

              ROFL LMAO!

Google is usually the first place many of us turn to. I was just suggesting an idea of firsthand informative photos to share for the rest of the site that might be interested in using the polycarbonate over glass or plexi. Not trying to incite any anger.

10 posts later you get to the point, fair enough.. this is the first firsthand account I can give you, I will keep everyone posted on the success/failure of this project. I'm simply trying to share a cheaper alternative to glass tops; as to whether or not anyone else wants to give it a shot, that's their call.

It isn't a big deal and please don't elaborate, but I don't follow your statement - "10 posts later you get to the point".

                          Back on topic:
We all appreciate you sharing your "first firsthand account". The hobby can take a toll on your wallet and we are always looking for cheap alternatives. Once again, thank you and sorry if my skepticism came off harsh.

No hard feelings, I've noticed people can tend to come across as harsh when they're not trying to at all. Pardon me if I'm a little proud of my project lol let's just hope its justified in the long run. Sorry for calling you Malfoy
