Has anyone ever used window screen to make a top for their tank?

I've seen it done, but it won't keep water from evaporating or splashing out. Check out my thread on the polycarbonate roof panel from Lowe's

Would the poly warp under MH lighting?

Depend on wattage and distance from light... But yes... It could.

Dorothy : How can you talk if you haven't got a brain?
Scarecrow: I don't know... But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking... don't they?
Dorothy: Yes, I guess you're right.

I'm not sure about halides. I've only used t5 and LEDs with the panels

I use clear 1/4" mesh from bulk reef supply. Blocks the top without dimming lighting at all. Easy to make and very cheap too

                Thanks.
I know I've used poly on my patio roof before, and it turns to crap after about 2 yrs of being in the elements.
