  • Fish Room Reno

Some of you may know that I had a fish room. I never got the chance to do it the way I wanted, especially with work and the number of fish I had. It was a mess. So over the break I had two weeks off since I'm in education. I bought two ponds of which one leaked and soaked my carpet so I was forced into this project of removing carpet.

This is what my room looked like when I started.

I pretty much had lines running everywhere.

I installed 3/4" PVC all around my room which was relatively simple. I got a new high powered pump. The tapping was hard because the size of the threading was rare. Took forever.

I took advantage of the dollar per gallon sale and I made DIY dividers

Water is in these. Still working on my 55s

    Will update as I finish

Thanks guys. Adam they are the racks from lowes. They come in a box and come in two different two tank racks. It's imperative to get the 8000 series that has a 1000 pound per rack weight capacity. The one that has a 800 pound capacity did not allow my tanks to fit although the description was the same as far as dimensions.

                      Josh,
I've used those racks before for tanks. They tend to rust quickly. One trick is to spray an additional coat of rust oleum paint over them. Looks great. Bet it was a pain to get those wood floors to dry.

Well I am doing four tanks at a time. Right now I am working on adding four 55s on another wall. That leaves two more walls to work with so it all depends on how much time I have to work on them.
