It's best to give new silicon 3 days before it sees water. 24 hrs based on previous research.

+1. If your silicone isn't fully cured, all you're gonna have is problems

I did it on the 5th, the pics of the bubbles was taken the next morning when I woke up. I wanted to wait a long time just to be sure lol. At this point I know I fixed the original problem so that's a plus. I keep checking it every 5 minutes and have a sharpie mark so I'll know very quickly if it's leaking.
Get a tank they said, it's relaxing. Get a big tank they said, it's easier to maintain. Where are they when a 125 and a 180 are leaking all over your living room :ertrink:

Gotcha, wasn't sure if you reseated again or not, but sounds like you're taking all the necessary precautions! Keep us posted

I was going to redo it but since there was no longer a rush and really no way to move it I figured why not live dangerously. If you see a posting for large pieces of glass available for recycle projects you will know there was a leak and I'm probably cut to shreds after beating my head into it lol.

First aid kit is always at the ready in this house lol. And thank you very much, the quote in my sig I actually said many times this week. I thought I needed to see it every time I post so that I would never forget the experience, the drowning emoji was just the icing on the cake.

How's the water test coming along? So far so good I'm assuming?

I didn't want to jinx anything with yesterday being Friday the 13th but I think the crappy job I did may have passed the test. Just to be sure I'm going to give it one more day then it's time to drain and to carefully slide it back into place.
                                Thanks again all.
