okay as i was browsing thru the forum topics i found this project .....but after sitting here and reading and watching the progression of this i was soooooooooo dissappointed to not get to see the end results....what's up with that?????....can i please see it????.....

so where is the update?  Even if the project is indefinately cancelled I still what to know what happened.  Its like the ending of the Sopranos, just not as dramatic.

OK OK, I'm sort of embarrassed by the fact that I've been working on this at an excruciatingly slow pace, but... I'm almost done. In these shots you'll see that I got the sand in and most of the trim up(still working on it) and I need to caulk and paint, but you can get an idea of what it will look like finished. I'm pretty excited about it! Finally!  By the way, everything is actually hidden, the heater is the second one, just trying to warm the water faster and the filter return you see is a second filter, just trying to clear the water some more from the sand. It's only been in there for an hour or so and is making a big difference already. Sorry for the glare on the pics. I'll try to get some tonight when the sun isn't shining into the windows.

Ken -- step about 5 ft back and take a picture of the whole thing for those of us who remember the original pictures...  I want to see what the hole wall looks like :)  Absolutely stunning.. that is all I can say.. it rocks !!!

PS... side note...   its really nice to see you posting again.. I know you have been busy and all :)  it has just been strange not to see you post a lot for a long time..  I am glad to see your inputs and thoughts again here online :)

Ha, I thought about that afterwards too. Here is the full shot. I'm a little off to the side, so the TV looks off-center, but it's actually right in the middle if you stand in front of it.
