dyeing pvc black?

I know that fshfrk uses some kind of dye on pvc to turn it black.  I just plumbed my 2260 and the white pvc of the spray bar sticks out like a soar thumb.  thanks shawn.

Boil it in RIT fabric dye or use krylon fushion.

I like using the krylon though cause its a solid black.

you can use black ABS pipe...  I havnt seen it in hardware stores in houston at all... but in lubbock they had...

very similar properties to PVC... just black...

ek you are not worried about the paint in the tank?  and j i did not see any black abs pipe.  i think i just may use the krylon fusion.

The Krylon fushion is safe when completely cured so it works and it's meant for plastic. I did my pvc for my 30g cube and it worked fine for my reef tank so it shouldn't be a problem in a FW tank.....lots of people use the Fushion for aquatic use.

i'm dying pvc as we speak. i tried krylon, worked good except the petros scraped it off. so you can see white scatches. when i'm done dying pvc i am going to dye up a 5 gal bucket of crushed coral. i think the coral looks good with a dark grey color.
