      Re: faux rock backgrounds

John, what is that stuff made out of?....are you sure it will be safe for fish?
it does look very nice...but i'm concerned that it looks like fiberglass....and that over time that little pieces would be eaten by the fish and make them sick or kill them all together?

        Re: faux rock backgrounds

it's concrete with a woven fiberglass mesh inside. people have been making fiberglass back grounds and tanks for years. with no harm to the fish. but this will be tested to make sure it will not harm fish. will also test ph.

                  Re: faux rock backgrounds

Are you sure about the sealers, ours are lacquer based, and might not be safe to use in aquariums?

the stains are cemititious and we have used them in fountains and ponds, so we are good to go there.

I don't believe a sealer would be required since the end product will be under water and already have the "wet look"...

stain only no sealer sounds good.
